- ISO organic, non-toxic, and sustainable clothing that’s cute!Hello all :)) I recently started my sustainability, non-toxic clothing journey. I’ve acquired a few different pieces to start my collection and they are great however, I noticed a lot of sustainable/organic clothes have the same aesthetic, sort of culty commune vibes, all due respect. Obviously the eco-friendly aspect means more than the fashion aspect to me, I was wondering if anyone knew of any brands, hopefully GOTS certified, that are more casual and cute and trendy?? If that sort of thing doesn’t exists that I still intend on getting organic and sustainable clothes, just wondering if anyone had a recs. Thanks in advance :)) submitted by /u/Ambitious-Sand-7800 [link] [comments]
- Anyone know where I can find sustainable/ethical options for these?I’m due for a small wardrobe update and loved this outfit but would hate buying from fast fashion, so do you know where I might find a similar outfit but from a sustainable and ethical brand? I’m located in SF and will be checking out thrift stores as well, so I would also appreciate if you have any recs for SF thrift stores that have a higher chance of carrying something like this. Thanks! submitted by /u/bluuberrry [link] [comments]
- Switching from polyester to natural fabrics (cotton/linen/hemp) – but where are the good designs? 🇨🇦I’m (36 female) trying to slowly move away from polyester and other synthetic fabrics and switch to more natural options like cotton, linen, hemp etc. for health + comfort reasons. But I’m honestly struggling to find good designs 😅 Most of what I see in these fabrics is either: very basic oversized/boxy or gives a very “boho/hippie” vibe (not really my style) I’m specifically looking for: co-ord sets (shirt + pants / skirt) structured or elegant dresses something that looks polished, not just casual loungewear I’m based in Canada, so ideally brands that ship here or are available locally. From what I’ve seen so far, options feel limited compared to polyester fashion which has way more variety. Has anyone found brands that do modern, stylish silhouettes in natural fabrics? Open to Canadian brands, international shipping, or even smaller labels. Would love recommendations 🙏 submitted by /u/Tarnveer-K [link] [comments]
- Where to get sustainable fabrics?Hi friends! I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right place but I have wanted to start making my own clothing for a while and my mum is teaching me to sew! I was wondering if anyone knew the best places online that ship to UK/NI for deadstock fabric that isn’t just polyester? I feel like a lot of the sites I look at online only have polyester deadstock and I would rather purchase fabrics that are more sustainable and even biodegradable where possible. Thank you guys! I’m looking forward to sharing my progress with everyone 🥰 submitted by /u/Terrible_Ad_644 [link] [comments]
