I Spent Hours Looking Through the Amazon Prime Sale and Found the Best Makeup Products to Snag
Our take

The relentless churn of sales events has become a defining characteristic of the modern retail landscape, and the latest Amazon Prime Day frenzy is a prime example. The impulse to capitalize on discounted goods, as eloquently described by the author’s transformation into a Bruce Wayne-esque figure upon hearing the word “sale,” resonates deeply with a consumer base conditioned to expect and actively seek out these opportunities. The sheer volume of products on offer, spanning everything from homeware to electronics, creates a sense of overwhelming possibility, but the article’s focus on beauty products—specifically, the pursuit of “adding more blush and lipstick to my collection of hundreds”—highlights a fascinating facet of this consumer behavior: the accumulation of luxury items as a form of self-indulgence and curated identity. This is a world away from the quiet elegance we champion, but understanding the motivations behind such purchasing decisions allows us to better position our own offerings as investments in enduring style rather than fleeting trends. Consider, for instance, the enduring appeal of classic design – a sensibility echoed in Kristen Stewart's Chanel shorts set, which would make the chicest swimsuit cover-up Kristen Stewart's Chanel Shorts Set Would Make the Chicest Swimsuit Cover-Up. Both embody a sense of timelessness that transcends the urgency of a limited-time offer. The proliferation of these sales events, driven by algorithms and fueled by a desire for constant engagement, raises questions about sustainability and the true value we place on possessions. While the thrill of a bargain is undeniable, the accumulation of “hundreds” of lipsticks suggests a potentially unsustainable cycle of consumption. It contrasts sharply with our philosophy of deliberate acquisition - choosing fewer, higher-quality pieces that resonate with a deeply personal aesthetic. This approach aligns with a broader shift in consumer consciousness, with an increasing number of individuals prioritizing experiences and conscious consumption over material possessions. Moreover, the pursuit of fleeting trends often lacks the historical depth and cultural significance that elevates style to something more profound. Exploring the legacy of craftsmanship and artistry, as demonstrated by the historical significance of ‘Iolani Palace and the Hawaiian royal family Most Americans Don't Realize Hawaii Had a Royal Family—Until They Visit This Palace, serves as a powerful reminder that true luxury is rooted in enduring heritage and cultural relevance, not ephemeral discounts. The focus on fleeting trends also seems a world away from the understanding and playfulness shared between Prince George’s godfather and the future king Prince George's Godfather Shares a Rare Insight Into His Relationship With "Charming" Future King, where genuine connection and joy outweigh the pressure of appearances. The article's tone, while enthusiastic, underscores a broader societal trend of instant gratification and the normalization of excessive consumption. The "bat signal" analogy perfectly captures the Pavlovian response triggered by the word "sale," highlighting how marketing strategies have successfully conditioned consumers to prioritize immediate acquisition over thoughtful consideration. This contrasts with our commitment to cultivating a slower, more intentional pace of life—one where purchases are driven by genuine desire and aligned with a cohesive personal narrative. We believe that true style emerges not from chasing discounts, but from curating a collection of pieces that reflect one’s individuality and resonate with a deeper sense of self. It’s about investing in quality, craftsmanship, and pieces that tell a story, rather than simply filling a void with discounted items. This is not to dismiss the joy of a well-timed purchase, but to advocate for a more discerning approach, one that prioritizes enduring value over fleeting trends. Ultimately, the Amazon Prime Day phenomenon raises a compelling question: will consumers continue to embrace the relentless cycle of sales and discounts, or will a growing desire for conscious consumption and enduring style lead to a recalibration of the retail landscape? The shift towards experiences, sustainability, and a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship suggests a potential turning point. The key for brands like ours lies in continuing to champion a philosophy of quiet luxury and intentionality, offering pieces that resonate with a discerning audience seeking to cultivate a refined and enduring personal aesthetic, rather than succumbing to the allure of fleeting bargains.
Whenever I hear the word sale, it’s like a bat signal goes off, and I turn into Bruce Wayne. So, of course, when I saw that Amazon was having its big summer Prime Day sale, my adrenaline spiked and my wallet quivered because it knew damage was about to be done. The sale will run from June 23 to June 26, with various discounts offered across homeware, electronics, and more. Given my obsession with all things beauty, of course, I’m stocking up on body care, skincare, hair tools, and fragrances, but the category I’m most excited to shop? Makeup.
If anyone has even the slightest inkling of the kind of person I am, they're aware that blush, lipsticks, and lip glosses are my favorite makeup categories to hoard. Still, as the weather gets warmer and I go on vacations, my skin tone changes, so it’s actually imperative that I also get foundations, powders, and bronzers that match my summer skin and won’t make me look insanely ashy.
All this means is that I’m about to have a massive beauty haul coming my way. While I’m borderline feral when it comes to unboxing new makeup, I do understand that for normal people, this can be an overwhelming endeavor, especially if you’re new to the world of makeup and are just starting to build a solid collection of staples. Fret not; I have taken time off from researching (stalking) the sale to bring you a list of the best makeup products to buy during Amazon Prime Day 2026, so you can get the best value for your money. Plus, quite a few of these items are formulas that I already swear by, so expect a flawless beat when you incorporate them into your routine, too.
The Eyes
One of the easiest ways to jazz up your makeup? A sultry eye. The products below will keep your lashes long and your eyeliner perfectly smokey.

Urban Decay’s Glide-On Eyeliners have been and still are one of the best eyeliners on the market. The formula gives you room to play before drying down, but once it sets, it doesn’t move. Plus, the pencil-shaped packaging makes application so easy. If you struggle with doing your eyeliner or want a formula that holds up against teary eyes, this is it.

I’ve used this mascara since high school, and every time I revisit it, I wonder why I stopped using it. Not only does the formula keep my lashes lifted, but the brush reaches practically every single eyelash, and the volume it provides is insane. If you want to look like you’re wearing wispy strip lashes on a daily basis, you may want to give this formula a try.
The Lips
Lip products are kind of like candy for my eyes, and it’s one of the makeup categories that I hoard the most. So, trust me when I say that the two below are the best you’ll find on sale this Prime Day.

If you were around for the 2010 makeup era, then you likely remember how popular Buxom lip glosses were. I’m here to say that I never jumped off the bandwagon, and the brand’s Lip Polishes are still some of the best glosses that money can buy. The shade Celeste is my favorite, but there are so many to choose from, you’ll be able to find your new signature shade with ease.

Charlotte Tilbury makes some of my favorite lipsticks, and a 30 percent discount is one of the highest I’ve seen in a long time. I plan on stocking up on the shades Cat Walking and Super Fabulous, but whichever color you go with, expect the signature Charlotte Tilbury lip experience: an easy glide, tons of color payoff, and luxury packaging that makes you feel as chic as the icon herself.
The Cheeks
I genuinely think that cheek makeup can make or break an entire look. Yes, that’s a lot of pressure, but these products will make it so much easier to perfect your look.

The SuperSuede Baked Blushes from Saie are a sensorial delight, and I’ve been using them non-stop over the past few weeks. Ciao is my favorite shade to use as a blonzer (or blush-bronzer hybrid), but honestly, you can’t go wrong with adding any of them to your collection.

Prefer a cream blush? This one from It Cosmetics feels like nothing on the skin. Don’t let that fool you, though; these little pans are chock-full of pigment, and you only need the tiniest amount to get the color payoff that you’ll want. Even the most blush blind amongst us have to be careful with application.
The Complexion Products
Two of my favorite complexion products are (thankfully) included in this sale. If you’re my foundation twin (i.e., have a neutral undertone, prefer a lightweight, buildable formula, and simultaneously love a glow), they just might become your holy grails, too.

This was one of the first high-end foundations I ever bought myself, and not only do I still love it all these years later, but my mom has been converted too. Everything about this product is phenomenal, from the pump packaging to the shade range (the undertones are immaculate). The best part of it all? It feels like barely anything is on your skin.

Speaking of complexion products that feel like nothing on the skin, not enough people talk about Estee Lauder’s Futurist Skin Tint Serum. As the name suggests, it has a lightweight serum-like consistency that is perfect to throw on and head out the door. Still, if you want to use it for a more full-glam moment, the formula is really easy to build up to give you the coverage you want, sans any pilling.
The Powders
As a certified oily girl, I simply cannot live without a good powder in my makeup routine. Below are two of my favorites; if they work for my skin, I can guarantee they’ll work for yours, too.

Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder is legendary for a reason, and that reason is that it makes your makeup stay on flawlessly all day. Not only does this super-silky formula keep the oils near my T-zone at bay, but the shade Honey provides a perfect everyday highlight for my skin tone. I’ll never be without it.

If you prefer a pressed powder, Clinique has you covered. The Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Face Powder was made for oily skin, and its sheer wash of color makes it both a fantastic option to set your under-eyes in the morning and to touch up throughout the day. Plus, the compact packaging makes it super easy to travel around with.
