Jenna Perry's Guide To Effortless Greek Vacation Style

Jenna Perry’s recent “Packed To Perfection” guide for The Zoe Report, detailing her effortless Greek vacation style, feels remarkably aligned with the quiet luxury aesthetic we champion here. It’s a subtle but powerful shift in how style is presented – moving away from the maximalist trends that dominated recent seasons and embracing a more considered, less-is-more approach. This resonates deeply with the desire for authenticity and intentionality that increasingly defines modern femininity. The emphasis on versatile pieces, natural fabrics, and a neutral palette speaks to a deeper understanding of enduring style over fleeting trends. Consider, for example, how Perry’s layered approach to summer staples – highlighted in her guide – echoes the wisdom shared in Your Summer Shorts Can Work for Fall—This Easy Layering Trick Proves It – a testament to building a wardrobe that transcends seasons. It’s a reminder that true style isn’t about chasing the newest ‘it’ item, but rather about cultivating a collection that reflects your personal ethos and can be adapted to various occasions.

What’s particularly compelling is the lack of overt branding within Perry’s curation. While the piece inevitably features specific garments, the focus remains firmly on the *feeling* of the vacation and the ease of the styling rather than a blatant product push. This mirrors our own philosophy of weaving brand elements seamlessly into a lifestyle narrative, creating an aspirational yet relatable image. The visual language of the article – sun-drenched landscapes, relaxed poses, and a palpable sense of ease – further enhances this effect. It’s a masterclass in portraying luxury not as ostentation, but as a state of mind. This contrasts sharply with the often-aggressive marketing tactics prevalent in the fashion industry, where constant calls to action can feel jarring and inauthentic. The subtle elegance of Perry’s approach – similar to the refreshing simplicity of Gap's New Tote Is Giving My Workbag a Run for Its Money – demonstrates the power of understated confidence.

The broader significance of this trend extends beyond individual style choices. It reflects a growing societal desire for authenticity and a rejection of performative luxury. Consumers are increasingly discerning, seeking brands and influencers who embody genuine values and offer a sense of connection rather than fleeting validation. This shift is also impacting the way we consume content, with a preference for visual storytelling that evokes emotion and creates a sense of escapism. Perry’s Greek getaway guide, with its focus on mood and atmosphere, perfectly encapsulates this evolving consumer preference. The article’s success is likely due, in part, to its resonance with the desire for simpler, more meaningful experiences – a desire that is increasingly shaping our purchasing decisions. Moreover, the emphasis on foundational pieces and versatile styling, as exemplified by the discussed layering techniques, supports a more sustainable approach to fashion, aligning with a growing awareness of the environmental impact of fast fashion. This echoes the exploration of elevated basics, as seen in 6 Fall Outfits to Wear When You're Over Brown, Burgundy, and Black – a move away from fleeting trends and towards a timeless, curated wardrobe.

Looking ahead, it will be fascinating to see how this “effortless” aesthetic continues to evolve and influence the broader fashion landscape. Will we witness a further decline in overt branding and a greater emphasis on authentic storytelling? Will the focus on sustainable practices become even more pronounced? Perhaps the most intriguing question is whether this quiet luxury movement can truly democratize style, making refined aesthetics accessible to a wider audience without sacrificing its core values of quality, intentionality, and understated elegance. The success of figures like Jenna Perry in crafting aspirational yet relatable content suggests that the answer might just be yes.

Jenna Perry is easily one of the biggest names in the beauty biz. Even if you don’t recognize the celebrity hair colorist by name, you’ve almost certainly seen her work — from Kaia Gerber’s new ‘90s-inspired blonde highlights to Margaret Qualley’s dark chocolate brown locks. Needless to say, Perry spends plenty of time behind the glam chair. But this summer, she traded the salon for Greece, jetting off on a well-deserved vacation with one of her best friends, Ray Ray.

“We planned the entire trip only three weeks before we left, which gave it this wonderfully spontaneous feeling,” Perry tells TZR. “We wanted somewhere that could be relaxing, fun, and beautiful without feeling overly planned.” The friends ultimately split their time between Paros and Antiparos, craving a quintessential Greek summer filled with long golden hours, crystal-blue water, delicious food, and beautiful art — essentially, days with no real itinerary.

Before the trip, Perry paid a visit to namesake designer Emily Dawn Long’s New York City studio in search of looks for her Greece getaway. “I think the pieces I chose from her collection really set the tone for everything I packed: feminine, flirty, and playful, but still effortless,” says Perry, who describes herself as low-maintenance when traveling somewhere warm. Breezy, unfussy outfits that can take the colorist from the beach straight to dinner with minimal effort were key — think a skirt thrown over a bathing suit, something sheer, or a tiny top.

Laid-back as she may be, Perry does have one packing rule of thumb: two bathing suits per day. “I stand firmly by it,” she says. “There’s something chic about changing into a fresh suit in the afternoon, and in the summer, a bathing suit is essentially the foundation of my wardrobe.”

Overall, the hair expert was pleased with her lineup of outfits, which she says came together very instinctively. There is, however, one look she feels she knocked out of the park: an all-red ensemble worn for a day of shopping in Antiparos. “I wore a red tube bikini top by Los Angeles Apparel with my favorite vintage red skirt by Plein Sud that I found in France, and my Khaite Billie bucket bag,” she explains. “It was monochromatic, feminine, and completely practical.”

According to Perry, the best travel looks need to work with whatever is on the agenda. “When I’m shopping for clothes, I want to be able to slip things on and off easily, so being lightly dressed made the whole day feel easy. I could walk all day, try things on without a production, stop somewhere for lunch, and still feel put together.” While in Antiparos, the heat dictated how Perry got dressed. “I found myself wanting less fabric, less makeup, less fuss. When the surroundings are that beautiful, you really don’t need much.” Her overall vibe during the trip? Simplicity.

Below, take a closer look at some of Perry’s favorite looks from her recent Greece getaway.
