Shared wardrobe platform
Our take
Last year I had 7 weddings and realised I was about to buy 7 dresses I’d probably wear once. Instead, my friends and I started sharing outfits between us. We put everything into a shared folder, and before buying anything new we’d check there first. It actually worked way better than I expected.
It got me thinking… could this be an app? I’ve been playing around with building a really simple tool where you create a private group, upload what you own, and request to borrow from each other. It’s very early and I’m mostly just testing the concept.
Is this something people would genuinely use? Or do you think you already do this anyway and there isn't a need for another app?
Curious how others think beyond my friend group.

- ‘I have nothing to wear’… sounds familiar?I asked people on a subreddit if they keep repeating the same 5–10 outfits — and a lot of them said yes, they experience this too. So we decided to build a tool for our marketplace to actually solve that problem. It gives you: • Style boards created from your own wardrobe • A wardrobe analysis so you understand what you actually wear • Help with sending unused clothes for recycling • A try-on feature on your avatar (coming soon) • Personalised recommendations based on your style — so you don’t spend hours scrolling for the right outfit ✨ The idea is simple: help you use what you already own better, and only buy what truly fits your style. Would you use something like this? (This is an add on tool for our marketplace) And more importantly — would you pay £4 for 6 months of early access (pre-launch)? Trying to validate if this is genuinely useful, so would really appreciate honest thoughts! submitted by /u/Scared_Attorney4688 [link] [comments]
- Digital wardrobe appsAre there any good digital wardrobe apps you would recommend? I would like to use for planning and organising, mostly because I find that I forget: A) a lot of items that I own - eg I was just on a 1month hunt for a white denim skirt and then found one yesterday I had forgotten I had bought end of last season, and B) Those great outfits that I throw together by chance and then love, and so I never re-use them which is wasted potential. I always feel like I have nothing to wear even though my closet is overwhelming, and so I'm thinking a wardrobe app would be great if there are any that *easily* (important) lets you build a digital closet with both items and outfits. Curious if there are any that people here actually use. submitted by /u/Brief-Researcher-372 [link] [comments]
