Shared wardrobe platform

Our take

Last year, amidst a whirlwind of seven weddings, I found myself on the brink of purchasing seven dresses I would likely wear just once. Instead, my friends and I began sharing outfits through a simple folder, discovering a more sustainable and enjoyable way to dress for these occasions. This experience sparked an idea: what if there were an app to facilitate this sharing? I’m currently exploring a tool that allows users to create private groups, upload their wardrobes, and request items from each other.

Last year I had 7 weddings and realised I was about to buy 7 dresses I’d probably wear once. Instead, my friends and I started sharing outfits between us. We put everything into a shared folder, and before buying anything new we’d check there first. It actually worked way better than I expected.
It got me thinking… could this be an app? I’ve been playing around with building a really simple tool where you create a private group, upload what you own, and request to borrow from each other. It’s very early and I’m mostly just testing the concept.

Is this something people would genuinely use? Or do you think you already do this anyway and there isn't a need for another app?

Curious how others think beyond my friend group.
