Upcycling Sashiko/Boro Demin

Our take

Upcycling Sashiko and Boro denim has become a therapeutic practice for me, transforming what may seem like a simple task into a profound journey of mindfulness. Hand sewing demands intense focus and commitment; the intricate stitching took me about eight hours to complete. While it may appear as just a small detail, this craft exemplifies the beauty of patience and dedication. Every piece of craftsmanship deserves appreciation, regardless of its perceived scale.

This was a therapy for me

Hand sewing requires a great deal of concentration, even if it’s supposedly ‘simple’

Although it may seem like just a ‘small detail’, it took me about eight hours to complete this technique. I really enjoyed it, but it’s always worth pointing out that any piece of craftsmanship deserves to be valued, even if it seems ‘minor’
