Anne Hathaway fans, prepare to be so up. In 2026, the Academy Award-winning actor has no fewer than five major films set for release, including Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and the highly anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. First up, however, is the psychological thriller Mother Mary, which just dropped a second trailer. And in it, viewers get a more extended shot of the hair worn by Hathaway’s titular pop star: Long, center-parted, and bi-colored, with platinum blonde on the top and a rich shade of brown underneath. Call it “skunk hair-adjacent.”

The minute-long trailer follows Hathaway’s Mother Mary from her dressing room to the stage — where she performs one of the film’s original songs, “My Mouth Is Lonely For You” — with a few cryptic clips interspersed throughout. For the first three or so seconds, however, we get nothing but Hathaway, looking at herself in the mirror as a stylist smooths her long blonde mane.

The slightly off-center angle provides a solid view of the underside of the style, making it clear that there aren’t just dark money pieces at the front — rather, the entire underside is a dark brown or black, a la Future Nostalgia-era Dua Lipa. A slightly blotted berry lip, subtle cat eye, and a radiant blush-highlighter combo round out the pop star glam.

While this isn’t the first time the famous brunette has gone blonde on screen or even off, when she does, it’s enough of an event to merit headlines (such as when she bleached her pixie in 2013 and donned a blonde bob for a role in 2023). Check out her latest dip into the flaxen pool when Mother Mary hits theaters in limited release on April 17.
