Pigeon Grit for Bantams

Pigeon Grit for Bantams
Pigeon Grit for Bantams

Some time back, on here, I questioned whether the grit pigeon keepers give their birds would be suitable for bantams. I keep Modern Game Bantams. I have absolute Hell, sourcing 'Cage Bird' grit, here in Ireland. So, figuring pigeons and my little birds were much the same size, I mooted whether I could get away with the slightly more available pigeon stuff.

Well; I've always been absolutely about putting my money where my mouth is, especially in the name of empirical discovery. So, of course, I tracked down and bought pigeon grit. Actually, due to the heavenly shipping, I grabbed Two sacks. Same shipping. Save me having to pay twice the price for each bag.

Now, after some considerable time, watching the levels in their grit pots remaining static, I'm ready to announce that I'd might as well get some pigeons, or at least large fowl! My buggers just won't touch the pigeon stuff! :(

How about that! So, now we know. And that's Another twenty five quid up in the air! The things I do for you lot! LOL!
