Is google deepmind known to ghost applicants? [D]

Hey sub, I'm sorry if this is a wrong place to ask but I don't see a sub for ML roles separately. I was wondering if deepmind is known to send rejections, or if you don't hear back for a few weeks it's just a rejection? I've read they regularly ghost applicants.

I had been in conversation with the research scientist of the team when I applied for the role and they replied in a neutral/positive way after I sent them my cv and interest in the role. Since then I haven't had any contact officially/unofficially.
