Starting a denim brand

Our take

Hello, I’m excited to announce the launch of my sustainable denim brand, focusing on natural-dyed pieces that stand apart from the oversaturated raw denim market. We have partnered with an exceptional artisanal manufacturing unit in Europe, known for its top-quality craftsmanship, but due to its small scale, we will produce limited quantities. I invite your insights on what you feel is missing from the denim industry or any innovative ideas you wish to see more of.

Hello. I’m looking to start a sustainable denim brand and as part of my research I wanted to ask people if there is anything you feel is missing from the denim industry, or anything you would like to see more of. I I will be doing natural dyed denim but not raw denim since I think that market is oversaturated.

We have the place to manufacture it, and their natural dyeing and manufacturing unit is top quality. They only manufacture for one artisanal brand in Europe. The issue is that since they are a small unit we can’t order more than a certain amount of pieces at a time, but I guess that is fine since we are also positioning ourselves as an artisanal brand. We want to do something different to what is common in the space of natural dyed denim which is mainly raw denim. We have a few directions in mind to take it. We would really appreciate receiving suggestions from people interested in denim and sustainable fashion on what they would like to see more of or what they feel is missing.
